Watching many of these film trailers, and many more in the past, and films that I have found the most interesting ones have a very ‘home hitting’ story line. They deal which sensitive subjects, and when executed well these are the films which people remember for an extremely long time and can actually have a huge impact on many peoples lives. The issues raise may consist of: alcoholism, drug addiction, mental illness, sexuality, tragedy, incurable disease, domestic violence, racism, sexism and disability. Therefore we have decided that our film is going to be a realistic drama based around how a family copes with many of these problems in their lives. We hope to gain awareness about our topic by targeting our film at teenagers and young adults, with no specific genre in mind at the moment, however that may change as more ideas flow.
