Somers Town
Budget: £4,700
Box Office: £566,616
Independent film companies cannot afford to have a high budget film, due the fact they do not have the economical reliability to afford to make an error i.e. loss. Although there have been many film’s with a lower budget than this, Somers Town does have an extraordinarily low production costs. However in spite of this there was a great profit. This made over 120 times the cost of producing the film, which is massive, considering it only made just over half a million pounds in total.
We are an independent film company too (C+H Productions). Although we have made a previous film, The Dark (AS Coursework), we do not have a much funding as other film. This is because social realism is a new genre for our company and the risk is too high that we could lose a lot. (Also this is all hypothetical and we do not have spare money to spend on our trailer)
